Before there was the big Nespresso shop on Huidevetterstraat 37 now Arket opened up. They describe themselves as a modern-day market offering essential products for men, women, children and the home. ARKET’s mission is to democratise quality through widely accessible, well-made, durable products, designed to be used and loved for a long time.
This is the second Belgian location for the Sweden shopping chain, straight from the H&M family. In 2017 one of these shops had already been opened in Brussels. Very cool thing about this place is that there is an Arket Café inside, very cozy and with lots of bright light coming in. The concept of the bar is based on the new Nordic Food Manifesto which is a new food movement that has an innovative approach to traditional foods combined with a strong focus on health and an ethical production philosophy.
Arket is a modern brand selling clothes, homeware, travel items, chidden toys and clothes. The style is minimal and essential, I got some homeware products which are very good quality and eco-friendly. This is definitely the new ‘Fashion-Shopping-While-Sipping-a-Cappuccino‘ in town.
