I had seen this only in another country and the concept is brilliant, it’s called Precycling. This place teaches us the idea that you can bring your own recycled packaging to the store where you do groceries. Robuust is the mecca for eco-friendly people, a good location to find organic and bio foods and also for those who like to eat locally produced goods. You can read more about their Planet-mission and goals here.
Robuust is the first packaging-free store born in Belgium. The idea came from Savina Istas the owner of this place. She really wanted to create a place where not only branded packaging wouldn’t be allowed but also a place where bio and organic products would thrive. I love this idea to ‘make purchases on your own terms’.
The task is simple: you bring your own jars, bags and boxes and they’ll give you what you need. First you weigh the packaging you brought and then you get the product you need. At Robuust you’ll find pasta, veggies, rice, sugar, tea, dishwashing soap, etc.
