If you’re looking for a cosy place to have a good glass of wine together with a tapas plate, than Patine is the wine bistro you are looking for. This little French-like café and restaurant stands right in front of the Royal Museum of Arts in ‘t Zuid. It has a good view on the square it’s the perfect spot during summertime in the early morning because of the position of the sun.
I usually come here for lunch or dinner, but breakfast is also possible. This place reminds me of some old rusty café in Paris, also the choice of music makes the atmosphere. On one side of the façade of the building there is a beautiful street art graffiti of a lady, a glass of wine, a book and the night with a representation of the moon and the threes of the square created by Philip Paquet called Jazzy South from 2009, that wall stands right in front of Café Hopper.
